At Apex Painting in Blue Ridge, GA, we provide trusted painting service for homes and businesses across surrounding areas. Behind that is a two-person shop. Apex Painting is Danny Travis and his wife — Danny has been painting his whole life, and before this he spent eight years running his own roofing company in north Georgia. He knows what a crew of strangers moving fast through somebody's house looks like, and he decided not to build that.
So Apex stays small deliberately. We take a limited number of jobs at a time, which means the prep gets the hours it actually needs, the person who quoted your job is the person doing it, and nobody is rushing to get to the next house before dark.
- One point of contact. You talk to Danny from the first walkthrough to the final one. Nothing gets lost being passed along.
- Your house gets treated like a house. Furniture moved and covered, floors masked, everything back where it started before we leave.
- A straight answer, including no. If refinishing your cabinets is not worth the money, or the job is a better fit for somebody else, we will say so before you have paid us anything.

Cabinet Refinishing and Resetting
A refinished kitchen costs a fraction of new cabinetry and takes days instead of weeks. Doors and drawer fronts come off, get degreased, sanded and sprayed, and go back on with the hardware reset square.

Who will actually be doing the work in my house?
Danny and his wife. Apex Painting is a two-person, owner-operated company, and we do not sub the work out to crews you have never met. The person who gives you the estimate is the person holding the brush and the person doing the final walkthrough with you. That is deliberate — it is why we only take a limited number of jobs at a time, and it is the main reason the prep gets done properly instead of rushed.
Are you the same company as the other Apex painting businesses in north Georgia?
No. There are several unrelated businesses in north Georgia using the Apex name, and we are not affiliated with any of them. Apex Painting is based in Blue Ridge, in Fannin County, and is owner-operated by Danny Travis. Our number is (404) 617-3316.
If you were given a different number or a different location, you were talking to a different company. Worth checking before you hand over a deposit.
Do you do exterior painting as well?
Our focus is interior work — repaints, trim and cabinet refinishing. We do take on some exterior jobs, but they are the smaller part of what we do and we are selective about them. If you are after a full exterior repaint, call and describe the property and we will tell you honestly whether it is a good fit for us or whether you would be better served by someone who does exteriors full time.
What do I need to do before you arrive?
Very little. Take down anything breakable or sentimental from the walls and shelves in the rooms being painted, and clear the countertops if we are refinishing cabinets. We handle the rest — moving and covering furniture, masking floors, fixtures and hardware, and taking outlet and switch plates off. Everything goes back where it started when we pack out.
How do estimates work, and do they cost anything?
Estimates are free. We come out and walk the rooms with you, measure, and talk through colours, sheens and any repairs that need doing first. You get the estimate in writing with the prep itemised, so you can see what you are actually paying for rather than a single square-foot number.
